Skyrim comes with a ton of quests that guarantee hours of entertainment.
Compared to many other quest Skyrim mods, Moon and Star isn’t exactly an extensive mod with a whole new area. But the attractive part of Moon and Star is its voice acting and NPC interaction. The mod developers did quite an excellent job in voice acting for NPCs which gave these NPCs personalities and immersion. Mod Update Tel Nalta II and Moon and Star are now compatible Seeing as both Moon and Star and Tel Nalta II have been out for a while and that there has always been a high demand to make the two mods compatible, I figured I'd let you fine folks know that Ac3s and I have worked together to create a patch that makes them finally play nice.
This mod adds the Morrowind artifact 'Moon-And-Star' (enchanted ring) to the world of Skyrim, but you are not the Nerevarine now and wearing it will be fatal. In Morrowind, this ring has been created by Kagrenac and 'blessed' by Azura as a test for the true Nerevarine. Moon-and-Star is a Dwarven ring of Chimer hero Nerevar. The artifact was forged by one of the smiths of Dwemer Sorcerer-priest Kagrenac and blessed by the Daedric Goddess Azura. The ring lent Nerevar supernatural powers of persuasion and indisputable proof of identity, since any other who tried to wear it would be killed instantly. For The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on the Xbox One, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Moon and Star is so broken.'
But with the game having released so long ago, it’s only natural that players turn to the world of modders to find out new adventures to keep the Skyrim world alive. Thankfully many fans of the Elder Scrolls franchise have taken the task of creating the finest and most amazing mods.
Some of these mods are so huge that they turn Skyrim into basically another game, and some of them can even be compared in quality and size with the official Skyrim DLCs that have been released so far.
That’s why I’ve made a list of the best Skyrim quest mods that you can find on the internet. I know how difficult it can be to find new quality quests to play, but hopefully this list can get you started.
20. Shezzarine: The Fate of Tamriel
In this mod you become Shezzarine, a powerful warrior destined to shape the fate of Tamriel according to fate.
The main thing about this mod is that Onmund, the College of Winterhold apprentice and companion that many players love, takes a crucial role and gets thousands of new lines of dialogue to interact with him.
You’ll be facing the mission of defining the fate of Tamriel as well as the fate of the Thalmor themselves. What will they be? Your actions will redefine the course of history!
19. Enderal
Even though Enderal is one of the most complete mods on this list, it takes one of the higher spots mainly because it isn’t a quest mod per se, but rather an entirely different game.
Enderal is a new game based on the engine of Skyrim, made by modders over the course of a few years.
The game is surprisingly complete and comes packed with hundreds of lines of dialog as well as quests and a unique story never seen before.
Keep in mind that Enderal does have a fair share of bugs, as it wasn’t developed by a large team of professionals but rather by fans of the TES franchise.
18. Moonpath to Elsweyr
This massive mod adds the entire region of Elsweyr to base-game Skyrim. This is a region that was already added in an Oblivion mod before, but fully redefined to fit the graphical demands of TES V.
This mod will take you to the lands of the Khajit where you’ll have to help them fight against the Thalmor to defend their region and keep it safe. Sounds like a real adventure if you ask me.
17. Fight Against the Thalmor
These three mods will put you in a path to fight the Thalmor, just like other mods on this list. But in a more direct fashion.
You’ll get to take the fight by your own hands and try to destroy the enemies of peace by utilizing the power of the Dragonborn to put a stop to the evil Elven society.
South Dragon Bridge is a particularly standout addition to this series and I fully recommend you try it!
16. Into the Depths
Are you into scary games? If so then maybe Skyrim doesn’t quite cut it.
But if you want scary I’d like to suggest that you try this incredible mod.
Into the Depths takes you into an abandoned mine where citizens have reported to have heard the voices of the undead deep within.
You’ll have to explore the mine and find out what’s causing the noises, attempting to put a stop into them.
Keep in mind that this mod is meant to add a scary questline to Skyrim so if you’re one of those to be easily frightened you might want to avoid trying this one entirely.
15. Psijic Realm
Do you claim to be a powerful mage? Are you seeking to join the ranks of the mighty Psijic Order?
Then you’ll have to complete the College of Winterhold questline and wait to be contacted by a member of the order themselves, who will invite you to test yourself and join their ranks.
The Psijic Realm mod adds a lot of new places to the game, as well as a new questline with dozens of hours of gameplay in which your main goal will be to defeat the Dark Brotherhood!
14. Undeath
Those who seek a life in control of the dark arts might want to try the Undeath mod.
This enhances the experience of a dark by allowing you to become a mighty Necromancer, bringing the dead back to life and obtaining the powers of a Lich King.
If you love Conjuration then this mod is for you.
13. The Wheels of Lull
If you know a lot about The Elder Scrolls lore with knowledge stretching beyond the TES games, then this mod is probably going to be the one to try.
It adds a ton of new quests, weapons, armors, and dungeons that are mentioned in other Elder Scrolls stories, but that haven’t made an appearance in games yet (up until this mod was released, that is).
You don’t need to be a lore expert to enjoy this mod. But you might miss a few references and not feel as immersed as one who knows a thing or two.
12. Moon and Star
Moon and Star isn’t as massive of a mod as others on this list, but it still adds a new questline which includes a known foe from the days of TES III: Morrowind.
It also adds a new town and new weaponry for you to obtain and enjoy. So all in all a pretty decent one to give a try if you’ve got the time.
11. The Forgotten City
If you’re into mods with immersive storylines then The Forgotten City quest is going to be perfect for you.
This is one of the few quest mods where you can alter the end of the story depending on your actions.
This means that it has a lot of replay value if you choose to go over it a few times with different endings.
10. Summerset Isle
The Summerset Isle can only be officially visited in the Elder Scrolls universe if you play TES Online, but you may now also visit them in Skyrim as well thanks to this awesome mod.
The legendary Elven home is highly likely to feature in the following Elder Scrolls single-player game, but in the meantime you can travel Summerset with all of your Skyrim gear and explore the vastness of the region with your own equipment.
This mod adds a whole new region to the game as well as hundreds of new NPCs and quests, all with unique dialog lines that are unique to this single mod.
9. Maids II – Deception (NSFW)
Maids II is the continuation of an already popular mod that many fans loved in Oblivion.
Deception further develops the story into an even more complex series of events. Even though the story is quite rich and unique, you should still keep in mind that Deception has a lot of NSFW material meant to be played by adults.
Stay clear from this mod if you’re not comfortable with your Skyrim save being filled with… ahem… non-kid-friendly material.
8. Beyond Reach
The Reach is a dark region that you’ll easily find to be one hell of an eerie place during your first visit.
In fact, you’ll instantly notice how things never seem to get bright in The Reach (also known as High Rock) as there seems to be a plagued cursed upon the lands of this region.
Your quest will be to find what’s causing things to go bad in The Reach all whilst keeping your sanity and interacting with three new different factions.
Each faction has its own goals and motivations, and the story is as well written like any other in the base game.
7. Beyond Skyrim
Beyond Skyrim aims to incorporate many regions of Tamriel into the Skyrim base game.
So far only Bruma has been released (and there’s an even bigger mod that adds almost the entire world of Cyrodiil to the game) but the details that you’ll find in this mod are second to none.
The region looks like it was made by pros and it comes with dozens of new quests as well as unique dialog that you won’t find anywhere else in the game.
If you loved Bruma in Oblivion then you’ll absolutely love the chance to visit with the graphics and gameplay of Skyrim!
6. The Tools of Kagrenac
Here you’ll have to discover what happened to the Tools of Kagrenac after the events of Morrowing came to a halt. But if you played the game, you probably already know what they are.
If you haven’t, then I don’t want to spoil it for you.
Get yourself ready to embark on a quest that will truly test your resolve!
5. The Gray Cowl of Nocturnal
This large quest requires you to find the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal which is basically the same as the end of the Thieves’ Guild quest of Oblivion.
However this story is vastly developed and contains hours of new gameplay for you to enjoy.
Become the most legendary of thieves by embarking and completing this awesome quest and see where it takes you.
4. Helgen Reborn
It doesn’t matter which Skyrim mod list you look at, Helgen Reborn is always going to be near the top.
If you don’t recall, Helgen is the small town which gets destroyed by Alduin just when the game begins, and it remains destroyed throughout the entire story of the game, never to be used again.
However with Helgen Reborn you’ll get to follow a huge questline to reconstruct the city and decide who will take charge of administrating it – be it the Empire, the Stormcloaks, or even the local population that wishes to live in Helgen once again.
3. Wyrmstooth
Wyrmstooth will take you on an adventure in search of a dragon that has been tormenting the people of the region for a little more than a while.
The story will let you know who the dragon is, why it acts the way it does, and how you can stop it.
You’ll have to resolve many puzzles and traverse through countless dungeons if you wish to succeed. But the rewards are aplenty!
2. Legacy of the Dragonborn
The Legacy of the Dragonborn is probably one of the most famous mods in the history of Skyrim.
It adds so many quests that you won’t even be able to count them all, as well as a personal museum and dozens of hours of gameplay to revitalize your gaming experience.
This mod will help you become a collector of artifacts and you will even get your own personal museum in Solitude!
In fact, the Path to Elsweyr mode is included in the Legacy of the Dragonborn. This means you won’t have to download the Khajit homeland questline mod if you choose to get this one first.
1. Falskaar
If you’ve searched for Skyrim quest mods before then you’ve probably already heard of Falskaar.
Even though the story added within this mod is not canon, it’s fully lore-friendly and gives you over 20 hours of fully-voiced playtime.
The amount of work that was put into this makes it the best Skyrim quest mod around, and will let you explore the vast lands of Falskaar for hours on end.
The mod adds many new books, weapons, quests, and even a unique soundtrack created by the developers of the mod to make your experience unique and special.
There are many Skyrim mods out there, but this is easily the best quest mod that you’ll find.
Bonus: Skyblivion
In case you haven’t heard of this, there’s a GIANT mod being developed called Skyblivion which integrates the story of Oblivion with the engine of Skyrim.
As such, you’ll be able to play again The Elder Scrolls IV with the graphics of Skyrim.
The project has taken many years to developed and isn’t quite finished yet (as of writing this article) but there’s already a trailer in place which looks as promising as any other Elder Scrolls title. Keep your eyes out for this mod’s release!

Perhaps the weirdest fandom merger you could ever imagine is here on a silver platter.
I’ve compiled a list of some amazing (and free) mods that will turn your Skyrim save into something out of the old Jedi Sacred Texts.
Most of these mods don’t adapt to the Skyrim or the TES canon, but boy do they make the game so much fun to play if you’re a fan of the Star Wars franchise.
Why wield a huge axe when you can turn on your practical lightsaber?
Why use any custom shouts when you could just channel The Force?
Find anything & everything you’ll ever need with mods that combine the classical world of Skyrim with the futuristic world of Star Wars.
15. Wookie Sounds for Bears
OK you can probably tell this is a goof mod, but I’m adding it to the list simply because of hilarity.
You need to try and hear how it looks to be mauled down by a bear screaming like a Wookie – it’s a truly enlightening experience.
And even though this mod is as far from the Skyrim canon as you can get, it’s also one of my favorites.
But I’m not ranking it any higher because it’s not particularly great or valuable… but boy does it come out as a shock when you first hear a bear going full Chewie on you!
14. Bleakcoast Cave (Lore-Friendly)
The Bleakcoast Cave already comes with base game Skyrim, and it actually contains a Star Wars easter egg on its own – the skeleton hanging from the ceiling is actually a reference to The Empire Strikes Back.
But this mod overhauls the cave to make it look more like that one you see when Luke gets trapped in Episode V.
It also adds an amazing blade that you can get by killing the troll, which is called Starblade.
It fits the Skyrim canon and simply adds one more reference to the Star Wars Universe for you to enjoy.
13. Star Wars Dwaids (Semi Lore-Friendly)
This mod rewrites history to retroactively add some new content into Skyrim.
Specifically you’ll learn that the ancient Dwarven civilization in Skyrim have created Dwaids, which are basically Star Wars droids built with Dwarven tech.
The textures actually look quite nice and they do seem to fit the lore a bit. But hey, it wouldn’t be realistic for me to tell you that such designs would be the ones chosen by the ancient Dwarven scientists to create such creatures.
In any case, it does add quite a lot of Star Wars droids to the game – and they look pretty cool for sure.
12. Galactic Credit Retexture
You won’t really feel like you’re in the Star Wars universe until you start paying with Imperial credits rather than with septims or gold coins.
Sure, this mod might not add all the variant types of currency that you see in The Mandalorian or other Star Wars sources.
But you still get to pay using the traditional Imperial credits and this applies to everything: shops, loot, you name it.
It’s not truly a massive overhaul since it’s really a simple update. Yet I still think it does add one more layer of depth to the Star Wars feeling that you probably want to have in your game, considering you’re even reading this article.
11. Star Wars Planets for Skyrim – Moon Replacers
Now this is one of those little additions that you need alongside the Imperial credit mod.
This one replaces the moon and night textures of the game with Star Wars planets and moons, which makes you feel as if you were inside the Star Wars universe by just looking up at the sky.
Much like other mods on this list, it doesn’t feel like it does much until you actually have in installed.
It’s a pretty cool addition and one that you’ll appreciate if you combine it with other mods, but on its own this is just a neat little reference.
10. Ashoka Tano Follower
Ashoka Tano, Anakin’s apprentice, can now be used as your companion in Skyrim to aid you through the many quests that await in your adventures.
This follower is not fully developed to talk and act like Tano herself. And you can actually substitute the character with any other pre-existing texture in the game.
However she does come with the ability to use lighting magic (not too fitting for a Jedi, I’ll admit) and prefers to use one-handed weapons.
Her design does seem to fit the general style of Skyrim, though, which is great to help this mod blend into the Skyrim universe.
9. Twilek Race Mod
Twileks are far away from their homeland in Ryloth now that they’ve made their way to Tamriel.
But they do so to introduce one of everyone’s favorite Star Wars races to the world of Skyrim. These creatures are known to be humanoid aliens that made their appearances in the original trilogy as well as in the second set of movies released in the 2000s.
You will be able to play as a Twilek yourself with the addition of this mod, and you might even turn them into Jedi if you install other mods on this list!
8. Magicka Sabers + Star Wars Lightsaber Sounds
Here we’ve got two mods for you to enjoy, both based on one another but created by different people.
The Magicka Sabers mod adds lightsabers to the world of Skyrim, and it does so in a semi lore-friendly way so you don’t have to feel too guilty about slashing your enemies with what amounts to laser sticks.
You’ll be able to use sabers from all colors and styles with ease. But one thing remains: detailed sound effects.
That’s where the lightsaber sounds mod complements it quite well by enhancing the sound effects of lightsabers in the game.
Both are totally free(of course) and pretty easy to install without any risk of glitches or bugs between them.
7. College of Winterhold to Star Wars Sith Academy
This mod turns the entire College of Winterhold into what you would expect a Sith Academy to look like.
It’s a visual mod more than anything and it certainly doesn’t fit the theme of Skyrim at all.
But hey, the College itself is pretty grim – why not turn it into something that looks a bit better?
6. College of Winterhold to Star Wars Jedi Temple
Much like the mod right above this one, except now we’re looking towards the light side.
This mod turns the College of Winterhold into a Jedi Academy instead of a Sith one.
It works the same way as the Sith mod and it serves as one of the best Star Wars visual mods that have been made for Skyrim.
I would not recommend installing both so if you activate one and want to switch I’d recommend deleting the files first, then installing the new mod. Always best to play it safe.
5. The Skyrim Falcon (Lore-Friendly)
Finally, a lore-friendly Star Wars mod for this list!
Now this mod is by far the most lore-friendly ones that I’m sharing with you today, as it doesn’t really add anything that doesn’t fit with TES Skyrim’s theme.
You might say that the Skyrim Falcon is a bit too big for anything that the base game would have, and maybe that’s true. But at least it’s a ship and not a crazy shuttle.
The Falcon is a player home, but this mod adds much more than that into your game.
With this mod you also get some new characters, quests, and other cool goodies. It’s by far one of the best Star Wars mods and I absolutely highly recommend it.
4. Star Wars Force Abilities Mod
This mod simply adds spells that act as if they were Force abilities.
It allows the Dragonborn to cast them to their will, and in combination with other mods they allow you to feel like a true master of the Force itself.
I really like the simplicity here and it’s definitely worth a try if you’re just messing around. The effects are certainly noticeable.
For sure it’s a cool little feature that does a great job at keeping the Star Wars feel alive when playing Skyrim, but it’s not the best Force mod out there. That title goes to our number 1 pick so keep reading if you want even more features.
3. Star Wars Jedi Robes and Outfits
You’ll never end up feeling like a true Jedi Master until you start dressing up as one.
The level of effort put into this mod is downright crazy. It’s shown in the detail of the clothes even at a glance, which makes this by far the best outfit mod for Skyrim(well, related to Star Wars).
With this installed you can dress your character as a Jedi in different robe styles, all so you can make enemies feel the way of the Force and the power of your lightsaber without using medieval armor.
It’s a truly exciting experience, A++, highly recommend it.
2. The Star Wars Mod Collection
This mod collection changes the way many characters look in Skyrim to make them appear like Star Wars characters.
But it also adds the Magicka sabers and many other mods that I’ve listed in this article, all pre-packaged ready to install into the game.
It’s a cool collection that is sure to save you a lot of trouble downloading each of them individually. However it can be limiting if you only want to try 1 or 2 things because this packages tons of features together.
You might need to start a new save if you want this pack to work correctly too, so it won’t work in all situations. However it is the largest compilation of Star Wars-themed Skyrim mods available in one download.
1. The Way Of The Force
The Way of the Force is by far the best Star Wars mod in Skyrim.
It introduces a new questline that makes using the Force canon in the game(how cool!).
And together with the Magicka Lightsabers mod, this is the single best way for you to introduce Star Wars features into the game without losing the feel of the natural canon that many players really prefer to keep.
Experience one of the coolest fan-made Star Wars quests and enjoy it all in Skyrim. If you’re a true-blue Star Wars fan then this is 100% worth your time.
